meet Amanda
Hi! I am a Buffalo native which means I’m intensely loyal to the Bills. I’m also a dreamer and a fighter; someone who chases big ideas and doesn’t back down easily.
My love of theatre started young, sparked by VHS tapes of Mary Poppins and Grease that my parents kindly let me borrow (and re-borrow) from the local library. But I didn’t step on stage until 4th grade, in my church’s probably very illegal productions. Still, those chaotic shows gave me my first lead role of Donkey in Shrek Jr and for that, I’ll always reflect on them with fondness.

College deepened my passion. I found myself drawn to plays with complexity and characters that reveal themselves slowly like icebergs. One of my favorite pieces was a monologue from Doctor Who, playing a character with 15 faces and a single soul—a misunderstood person if there ever was one. Through these experiences, I’ve also grown into someone who's not just creative but professional in how I approach the work. I show up, I prepare, and I bring intensity and focus to the rehearsal room.
LIU gave me something else, too: a surprising love for weightlifting. I’ve grown more stubborn in the best way possible—determined to push myself, embrace my strength, and carry my broad shoulders and upper arms with pride.
